Standard Chartered Bank (the 'Bank') is committed to maintaining a culture of the highest ethics and integrity, and in compliance with all applicable law, regulation and internal policy. As part of this commitment, the Bank has a ‘Speaking Up’ programme through which genuine concerns in this regard can be raised. Members of the public can securely raise Speaking Up concerns through this website which is hosted on behalf of the Bank by a third party ‘InTouch’. Examples of concerns that can be raised through this website are concerns that relate to accounting, internal accounting controls or auditing matters and concerns relating to bribery or banking and financial crime. Concerns received will be forwarded to the Bank’s investigations team for review. The Bank will not tolerate allegations made in bad faith.
Complaints relating to SCB banking services should not be raised through this site in the first instance, but through the SCB branch network, contact centres, Relationship Managers or the relevant country ‘Contact Us’ webpage.
When you raise a concern, please be as specific as possible about, for example, when and where something happened and if anyone else was involved or is aware of it. This will help the Bank investigate your concerns fully. We also encourage anyone using this site to provide their name and contact information when Speaking Up. In some cases the Bank may need to ask further questions and if this is not possible a particular investigation may not be able to be progressed. The Bank will keep all information confidential, including contact details and other Personal Data submitted, and will only disclose it as follows:
to members of SCB Staff involved in investigating or addressing concerns arising out of the Speaking Up report submitted;
to agents, advisors and third party service providers acting on behalf of the Bank under a duty of confidentiality;
to regulators, law enforcement authorities or in connection with any proceedings arising as a result of the investigation; or;
where required or allowed by law or regulation, anywhere in the world.
InTouch is not involved in any way with an investigation.
When you leave a message on this site, you will be given a unique case number and password. You will need these to access a reply from the Bank or to leave further information about the concern you have reported. If you have chosen not to provide your name and contact information, you can check back for a response to your message after 10 working days.
